Trademark Policy

1. Ownership

The names "L3RS", "L3RS-1", "L3RS Foundation", and the L3RS logo are trademarks of the L3RS Foundation. These marks identify the standard and the organization responsible for its development and governance.

2. Permitted Use

You may use the L3RS name to accurately refer to the standard, the Foundation, or your relationship to either, provided that such use:

• Is truthful and not misleading.
• Does not imply endorsement by, or affiliation with, the Foundation unless such a relationship exists.
• Does not suggest that your product or service is certified unless you hold a valid L3RS-1 conformance certification.

3. Certification Marks

The "L3RS-1 Certified" designation may only be used by organizations that have received formal conformance certification from the Foundation through the official certification program. Unauthorized use of certification marks is prohibited.

4. Prohibited Use

You may not use L3RS marks in a manner that is likely to cause confusion, disparage the Foundation, or imply a false association. You may not register domain names, social media accounts, or other identifiers that incorporate L3RS marks without prior written consent.

5. Enforcement

The Foundation reserves the right to take action against unauthorized or misleading use of its marks. Questions about trademark use should be directed to legal@l3rs.foundation.
